Tonight come to our Christmas Party!!! Zach & I will be driving the bus so if you need a ride call before 6!!! If you don't bring a gift you can't be part of the exchange!!

• A Friend that's never been here (yes, they should also bring a gift)

- Christmas Drama Team - Come Wednesday Nite & we will figure out a practice schedule.

- Youth Christmas Party - Looking at renting the skating rink & having a 70's disco theme - date TBA

- Youth Leadership Team - if you're on it and you missed Sunday morning consider yourself having 1 strike - no excuses - Mandatory meeting Wednesday Nite - if you're a no show give yourself another strike

FOOD FOR THOUGHT TODAY

Stop talking about people. Talking trash only makes you look bad. It doesn't show God to other's and it doesn't look good on you. When you talk trash about someone else, especially if you're nice to them to their face, then you are only showing what you're really made of. Remember, they may be really like you and they might be saying really great things about you. Basically, stop rolling your eyes & stop trash talking - it's ugly all the way around.

Here you guys go. Just one more thing for you to read and one more thing to distract you from listening to your teachers & doing your homework. I'm not going to be held reliable for this distraction, so this entry will not be long at all!! Here's the skinny on a few things:

Sunday Prime Time: Bring as many friends as you can on Sunday - it's really disappointing when we have less people in our class than the nursery....come on those kids can't even dress themselves!! (Plus this Sunday is the church's turkey dinner - you get a yummy free lunch!)

Wednesday Rocker: Let's try to pack out the youth room - we're just about there, but if we can hit 30 youth we will move into the sanctuary - SCORE!!!

Christmas Play: Memorize what I gave you & if you didn't get a script yet be ready you'll get yours Sunday - so BE THERE!!

Leadership Team: Remember what we talked about after the service last night - start showing up - excuses are like butts - everyone has them and they all stink, so stop giving me excuses and just man up and be in church.

EVERYONE: Thank you for coming last night and think about what we talked about - TRUST.

5th Quarter

YOU GUYS ROCK!!!!!

Thank you to all of the Carey Youth that showed up at our 5th Quarter!!! We had a HUGE turn out and it was because you guys weren't afraid to invite your friends out to Carey!! We really hope you guys enjoyed it.

JR. HIGH - we are looking at putting something together just for you....kinda like a 5th quarter type!! What do ya think?? Weigh in on this and give me some feed back on what you think!!

LADIES - your mentor ship "Life Application Study" will be starting next Monday. Make plans to come to my casa at 6:00 PM...you can show up a little early...there won't be food so eat before or after but know that we will be through about 7 if not about 7:15. If you can get to my house I can get you home!!

Hey you there reading this. I hope to see you on Wednesday night at the church. No matter what your response is to the election results, come to church on Wednesday because I know the one who is still in control - and no I'm not talking about President Bush.

High School Leadership Team - I need to meet with you guys before we kick off Wednesday night. Please be here it's really super incredibly important that you come to church.

High School - After game fellowship is FRIDAY!!! Invite your friends. Food, a HUGE obstacle course, fun, music...be there with 20 of your closest & dearest friends.

Jr. High - we've got something in the works for you so don't think you're being left out!!

Basically - SEE YOU WEDNESDAY WITH SOME OF YOUR FRIENDS!!!!

CHALLENGE: go talk to someone who you don't ever talk to - and smile at everyone you meet today and just see if your day isn't a little better for it!!

Leadership Team Announcement on Sunday

Be there for Sunday School tomorrow - the Leadership Team will be announced!!! Remember - it's not about favorites - it's who the Lord has laid on our heart's that we know will be able to help us take our youth group to the next level. Even if you're not selected please know that we will be asking your opinion, asking for your ideas, and even asking you to play a big part in our youth group!! Thanks for being such an awesome part of our group....yes you. Yeah, I'm talking to you - person reading this right now on your computer. I see you....man you should fix your hair!!! :) Just kidding...just I bet you checked it!!

CHALLENGE TIME!!!!!

On Sunday I want to see which school (junior high or high schoo) will bring the most friends. You see, every Sunday our class gets beat by the adult classes or the little kids. This has to STOP!!! We can't keep getting beat!!! SOOOO.....who will it be?? Junior High or High School??? If it's a tie we'll see who will win with a tug of war contest at the Harvest Party on Wednesday night!! So let me see if the Kittens or the Cat's will win!!!

I think that the jr. high will be the winners......prove me right or prove me wrong!!! :)

We looked through all of them and found that you all did a really great job, but we feel that Jocelynn's fits where we would like to go with the youth group this year!!
